What is this?

Kenny's 80s & 90s Summer is a playbook of 200 real activities for kids aged 8–12, inspired by what it was like to be a kid during the 1980s and 90s summers in Spain and Ireland. Street games on warm evenings, blanket forts on rainy mornings, pan con chocolate after school, a Tayto sandwich on the way home from the shop.

Every activity has clear, kid-friendly instructions and a Print this page button so you can stick a sheet on the fridge and let kids work through it on their own. Activities are mixed by theme — outdoor, crafts, kitchen, nature, indoor, music, story, and mini challenges.

The Special Tele Time picker shuffles one safe TV programme from Spain (Barrio Sésamo, David el Gnomo, Los Mundos de Yupi…) and one from Ireland (He-Man, Wanderly Wagon, Zig & Zag…) for a friendly double bill.

Everything here is non-violent and kind in tone. Some activities involve cooking, scissors or being outdoors, so please use your judgement and supervise where it makes sense.
